UK: Muslim migrants 'disrupt' peaceful village by chanting 'Muslim is good, Allah Allah' at residents

A four-star hotel in the picturesque village of Datchet, near Windsor, has started housing asylum seekers, who are reportedly shouting phrases like "Allah, Allah" and "Muslim is good" at locals. Residents have accused the migrants of racist behavior and theft after being placed in the Manor Hotel at the taxpayers' expense.

A local shopkeeper, Abhi, 24, who moved to the UK from India years ago, claims that some asylum seekers from Pakistan and Afghanistan harass him while he works. He told The Times: “They insult me because I’m Indian and Hindu. They come in shouting ‘Muslim is good, Allah Allah.’ They tell me, ‘Indians are not good, f*** Hinduism.’ It’s really upsetting. They often take food without paying. I really dislike it.”

The “boutique” 54-room hotel, located in the village center, is just a short 10-minute walk from Prince William and Princess Kate’s Adelaide Cottage.

It is one of six additional hotels being used to house asylum seekers since the Labour government took office in July 2024. This is despite the Prime Minister’s promise to “crack down on people smuggling gangs” bringing migrants across the English Channel. Over 38,000 migrants are currently being housed in hotels across the country, costing £5.5 million a day.

Compounding the issue for Labour, 6,796 migrants have crossed the Channel this year, the highest number since records began in 2018.

Irene Husbands, 91, who held her wedding reception at the hotel in 1962, expressed that the presence of asylum seekers there has soured her memories of the place. She said: “Nobody’s happy around here. It shouldn’t be allowed. The hotel’s making a lot of money, as the government is paying them.”
